As we inch ever closer to holiday events, you’re bound to be in need of a good cookie recipe. Because, as we all know, the holidays just aren’t complete without some tasty desserts.
A cookie exchange is a fun way to connect with friends over fresh baked goods, made with lots of love. But if you’re looking to liven it up this year and make your cookie exchange a little more exciting, suggest a cannabis-infused contribution instead.
We’ve put together three different marijuana-infused, cookie-exchange recipes to try this holiday season. Just be sure everyone knows about and is OK with the special ingredient before you pass them out.

3. Cake Batter & Chocolate Chip CBD Cookies
This recipe requires the dough to sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours (or up to 4 days), so plan ahead.
Ingredients for Cake Batter & Chocolate Chip CBD Cookies
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cup vanilla boxed cake mix
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 90 mL of CBD oil
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips (You can use white chocolate chips or a half and half mixture)
- 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles
How to Make Cake Batter & Chocolate Chip CBD Cookies
- Combine the dry ingredients (cake mix, flour, baking soda) together in a large bowl and set it aside.
- In another large mixing bowl, add the softened butter and cannabis oil together and cream until they’re combined.
- Then add both of the sugars and cream these together with the butter until they’re combined; then add an egg and do the same thing.
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the vanilla and mix vigorously for about 1 minute.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients while still mixing until combined.
- Toss in whatever mixture of chocolate chips you’ve decided on and the sprinkles.
- Tightly wrap the dough and store in the fridge for at least 2 hours. (The dough will be very sticky, so this step is important to be able to form actual cookies.)
- After the dough has sufficiently chilled, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line cookie sheets with parchment paper and dole out 1.5 tbsp of dough per cookie, with 2 inches of space between each one. Bake the cookies for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
